It is very comfortable that there is a parking place inside.Huge very comfortable rooms, jacussi in the room, excellent view and professional, very helpful stuff.

Minus: rather far from the city center, impossible to wald there due to the absence of pedastrian ways (only driving road).

I felt the Vesuvio was busy catering to the tour group crowd. Most of which where older people. They were so busy catering to these groups of people that I think the individual hotel stayer got a little ignored. WiFi was really only accessible in the lobby but it was a 5.00 euro one time charge. The had good shuttle service down the hill to town. If you miss the bus it is at least 25 euro cab ride back.The staff was not memorable but the breakfast was okay. They serve buffet style. If you are a coffee drinker it takes a long time to get a second cup as they are busy with the guest who came with a tour group.

The room was good size with balcony and fantastic view of the sea. The front desk staff very helpful. The hotel shuttle to town and back was convenient and very much on time.

The dinning room staff (we only had breakfasts there) were rude and not attentive. Every guest had the same complain.

The Hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking bay of Naples. Shuttle bus at regular times to bring guests down to Sorrento. Clean hotel. Helpful and friendly staff who promply deal with matters arising Beautiful food. Beautiful pool and lounge area. Altogether a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

While the hotel is located in a scenic spot overlooking the bay of Naples, it is a bit out of town. The road down to Sorrento is not really suitable for walking as there are no foothpaths for some of the way and the road is quite narrow, twisty and busy. Tyere is a shuttle bus provided by the hotel but it would be nice to be able to go for a stroll at night.

Very well organized, good attention, cleaned and good price. It is was a nice stay overall.

On arrival we have got offered spacious family room with breathtaking sea view, instead of the two basic rooms I have booked for the same price. Room was nicely furbished and very clean, services very good and staff very friendly and always helpful. Hotel pool was large and well mantained. Restaurant - pool bar was not overpriced and offered good selection of lunch menu. Position of the hotel is good for descovering Sorrento and Amalfi coast. The hotel is in quiet location, by road which is not very busy and at night the is quiet and night sleep very pleasant. Hotel offers shuffle bus to Sorrento free of charge and also car park free of charge.

The staff were extremely helpful, and friendly and by far the best thing about the hotel. The rooms and pool area was very clean. I don't normally like to go in pools but this one was immaculate. I don't know why people on various review sites complained about the breakfast. We stayed for a fortnight and found it fine. If you have stayed in hotels in Italy before you will appreciate that you don't tend to get the cooked breakfasts you might expect elsewhere. But to be fair, it does state clearly "continental" so I don't understand people's issue. Nor was any of the hotel "faded" or "crumbling" in fact it was typical Italian design, very well maintained with lots of lovely a/c which came in handy when the temperatures hit 34 degrees in August!

The shuttle bus into town was a huge problem in peak season. Imagine a hotel with 600 guests and one single decker ancient bus as the only way of getting into town and back. Now imagine that the bus runs about once an hour on average and not at all during the afternoon. Getting back from town on an evening, no matter what time you tried was horrendous. People don't queue so when it pulls up you had to force your way on, ofetn getting separated from other members of your party and then not being allowed on because it was too full. It was stressful and scary and after a few nights we started going to the restaurant "Verdamente" down the hill a bit which is actually very nice, but nothing else there to see and scary to walk back from no footpath, winding road- take a torch. Other travellers waiting for different hotel buses never experienced anything like this and for this reason alone I would stay somewhere else next time if I was going at peak season. The hotel really needs to improve its image as this ancient bus with the hotel name plastered along its side and people literally fighting just to get on is very bad publicity. The other thing to bear in mind with this hotel is that even when you have paid extra for the sea view (which is definitly worth it) you might not get a balcony. We didn'T. Which annoyed me greatly because what is the point of a nice view if you have no chair and no place to sit and admire it?!!! We did complain and got moved after a week to a balcony room, and although tehy say this costs more again, they didn't charge me extra for it which was nice of them. I think this needs to be made clear on the booking form. It wasn'T. Lastly, if you like the gym, I wouldn't use the one here. The hotel is massive with lots of unused space. I cannot for the life of me understand why they have put the gym outdoors.

The pool area's lunch menu was not the best.ie a steak sandwich was 2 slices of bread wit a wafer thin cut of roast beef.

ants in the room,not just ours.we booked 3 rooms and our sea view was not the full view like the other rooms we booked,we were tucked in the corner siding onto a balcony wall with partial sea view.

Wait staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean pool great.

The bus driver was cranky as we asked 4 people in the town where this meeting place was for the bus and we were told we were onthe right area but we weren't and he was happy when he had to stop to pick us up. Well if 4 locals told us were we're in the right place how were we to know it wasn't right. Also the we saw the bus dropping people of in front of the hotel as we waited for the bus to take us down down but once again we should have been someone else, even though he drops you off there. Perhaps desk staff could be more helpful and explain these things upon checking we had to ask where was the dining rooms and what times meals were serviced.

The view from our "room with balcony and sea views" was very nice. A clerk at the front desk named Patricia was extremely helpful. The housekeeping staff are all helpful and do a very good job.

The location was not great and the shuttle bus into town was not very convenient. The drop off/pick up spot was quite far from town and train/boat stations. The bus does not run between 1 and 4:30 which is ridiculous. We arrived at 2:30 for check in and found the restaurant closed. We were told food was served by the pool but were actually given lunch menus from the dining room when we were seated. Absolutely awful. I had "tuna salad" which consisted of an overripe tomato with a plop of tuna and a limp onion!!!!! I had to ask for bread. The buffet breakfast was AWFUL.....canned fruit and terrible scambled eggs....stale buns and no toast. I really don't know how this hotel rates as a 5 star or even a 4 star.....overpriced and very tired. Don't expect too many amenities common with 4/5 star hotels. There isn't even a box of tissue in the room let alone a small body lotion or tea service.

Breakfast was very Plain, pool closed at 6 pm, otherwise fine. Would prefer to stay at a smaller boutique hotel or b and b next time, this hotel was the largest and least personable of our two weeks in Italy.

We had a view of the sea and countryside from our hotel room. The room was clean and the shuttle that ran from the hotel to the center of Sorrento had several time options and was included in the price. Overall, a great hotel.
